I would suggest an addition to the list which would encompass all of the above definitions and synonyms: ‘trumpish’. That would sum it all up in one word.
Corruption is, of course, no stranger to the trump family beginning with Fredrich, the founder of the trump fortune. ‘the donald’ has just taken it farther to its extreme.
18 .S.C. 1361: is a federal law prohibiting the destruction of federal property. The law itself makes it a felony for anyone who:
“willfully injures or commits any depredation against any property of the United States, or of any department or agency thereof, or any property which has been or is being manufactured or constructed for the united States, or any department or ageny thereof, or attempts to commit any of the preceding offenses.”
The destruction of the East wing of the Whitehouse was a clear violation of this law, and yet m.a.g.a couldn’t shout enough praise to their exhalted leader for his ‘leadership’.
The most recent example of his extremism is the reflecting pool at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.
Trump decided that he need to let a contractor buddy of his paint the bottom of the pool some shade of blue. Of course the contractor had no experience in working with this type of project but that was not a problem for trump. The results are well known. Paint peeling, Algae forming at a greatly accelerated rate. And, in true m.a.g.a fashion, it was claimed by m.a.g.a. that democrats had sabatoged the pool!! Their corruption is bottomless. There is NO bottom to how low they will sink to support their cult leader.
The new Air Force One: another example of corruption on display. The emoluments clause of the constitution states: “absent congressional consent, no one holding any office of profit or trust shall accept of any present, emolument, office or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince or foreign state.”
Trumps lawyers claim that the gift doesn’t violate any law because the 747 was given to the United States and not to trump himself. However, when he leaves office the 747 will be transferred to trumps presidential library which, in effect, makes it a gift to trump rather than to the United States. But, of course, m.a.g.a thinks this is just hunky-dory. Personally, I think it looks like a reject from American Airlines.
The phoney martial arts fiasco which pretty much destroyed the lawn upon which it was staged is another example of rampant disregard for respect of tradition and decency. The whole fiasco was nothing more than a giant stroke of trumps ego. Never mind that probably 90% of Americans were against the project which would, illegally,, be financed by tax payer money.
The list goes on and on, dating from trumps first term as grifter-in-charge. It is time for Americans to wake up to what is actually happening to this once great country. When trump claims publicly that there is no limit to his power, you had better listen to his words. For perhaps the only time in his time in office he is telling the truth. The spinless non-congress lets him get away with literally anything. We are on the verge of falling into the throes of full dictatorship. Wake up America
