Trumps banning of certain news agencies is a blatant, direct violation of the first amendment. There is no way to spin it to make it look legal. The first amendment says;
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
The president cannot issue ‘executive orders’ in contradiction to the constitution. He is prohibited by the constitution from cancelling or changing existing law. Only congress has the power to make or change laws.
This is not the first time, of course, that donnie has ignored congress and the constitution. His gestapo-like ICE is a walking violation of constitutional law.
The oath of office which every president-elect takes says;
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
Donnie has violated the oath over and over which, in itself is grounds for removal from office. Which brings me to the bright spot in the upcoming election!
If Democrats will get out in the ‘blue wave’ we are advocating and elect senators and representatives in sufficient numbers to not only gain control of the house and senate, but to also elect a 2/3 majority in the Senate, we can assure that donnie will be impeached AND convicted of ‘high crimes and misdemeanors’ and subsequently be removed from office.
Once he is out of office, the legal process of putting him where he belongs, prison, can begin. I can think of nothing which would give me a better night’s sleep than news reports of his arrest and conviction!
And, in a perfect world, designation as a war criminal would soon follow!
Is this a pipe dream? Probably, but it sure makes me smile just thinking about it. The very existence of the United States of America is at stake. Every day brings out more obvious examples of how donnie and M.A.G.A. are hell-bent on destroying democracy in the USA. Their overt attempt’s at corrupting the voting process becomes louder and clearer by the minute. DO NOT ALLOW IT.
